Where We Work
Since 2010, ECHD works across Punjab, partnering with churches, communities, civil society organizations, and local institutions to promote dignity, justice, peace, and sustainable development. Our programs respond to the diverse social, economic, humanitarian, and environmental challenges experienced by vulnerable and marginalized communities.
ECHD’s work extends across the diocesan areas of Faisalabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Raiwind. Through these local networks, we engage communities in initiatives focused on poverty reduction, youth empowerment, women’s rights, human rights, climate justice, education, health, livelihoods, child protection, humanitarian response, and community resilience.
Our presence in Punjab enables us to work closely with local communities and faith leaders, ensuring that programs reflect local priorities and encourage meaningful participation. We strengthen local capacities while connecting community-level experiences with wider advocacy, ecumenical collaboration, and policy dialogue.
Through sustained engagement from 2011 to 2026, ECHD continues to accompany communities across Punjab in building more inclusive, resilient, peaceful, and just societies.
Sindh & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | 2021–2026
Since 2021, ECHD extends its work beyond Punjab to communities across Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), working through local churches, diocesan structures, civil society organizations, and community partners. Our engagement responds to the diverse challenges faced by vulnerable and marginalized communities, while strengthening local participation, resilience, and self-reliance.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ECHD works within the Diocese of Peshawar, supporting initiatives that promote community resilience, human dignity, peace, rights, and inclusive development.
In Sindh, our work covers the Dioceses of Hyderabad and Karachi, engaging communities and local partners around priorities including humanitarian response, youth empowerment, women’s participation, livelihoods, health, education, climate justice, and social inclusion. Through these diocesan and community networks, ECHD connects local experiences with wider ecumenical initiatives, advocacy, capacity building, and development partnerships. Our approach emphasizes listening to communities, strengthening local leadership, and supporting locally owned solutions.
From 2021 to 2026, ECHD continues to expand meaningful partnerships across Sindh and KPK, contributing to more resilient, inclusive, peaceful, and empowered communities.
